About University of East Anglia

The University of East Anglia (UEA) is a public research university in Norwich, England, established in 1963 as part of a wave of new UK universities founded that decade. Set on a 320-acre parkland campus, UEA is known for its interdisciplinary approach, reflected in its motto "Do Different." It is home to the world-renowned Sainsbury Centre for Visual Arts and the pioneering UEA Creative Writing course founded by Malcolm Bradbury and Angus Wilson in 1971, which has produced many acclaimed authors. UEA is one of five BBSRC-funded research campuses, hosting independent research institutes such as the John Innes Centre and the Quadram Institute, and consistently ranks among the UK's top 30 universities.
