The University’s 9,000 students benefit from dedicated and accessible faculty, exceptional research opportunities, and a welcoming campus community. Undergraduate and graduate programs are offered across six faculties, including several programs unique in Western Canada – such as the Bachelor of Arts in Human Rights and the Master’s in Development Practice with a focus on Indigenous Development. In 2025, the University launched its first doctoral program, the PhD in Bioscience and Policy. The University also provides high school at university through the UW Collegiate and industry-aligned certificates and diplomas through its Professional, Applied and Continuing Education programs.
