The University of Lincoln’s Africa Scholarship is designed to help students from across Africa to access postgraduate level study at the University of Lincoln. The Africa Scholarship is offered as a tuition fee discount against the cost of a postgraduate taught programme commencing in the 2026/27 academic year.

None required beyond your standard postgraduate application and offer documentation (degree transcripts/classification used to determine automatic award tier).
Eligibility Criteria
In order to be eligible to receive the Africa Scholarship prospective students must meet the following criteria:
- Be a national of, or have permanent residence in, Africa.
- Hold a Conditional or Unconditional Offer from the University of Lincoln for a full-time postgraduate taught programme commencing in September 2026 or January 2027.
A £5,000 scholarship will automatically be awarded to students who have:
- a) Completed a Bachelor’s degree from a recognised institution and have obtained at least the equivalent of a 2:1 classification or
b) Completed a Pre-Master’s degree, or a qualification equivalent to a UK Master’s degree, with a comparable classification as determined by the University
A £4,000 scholarship will automatically be awarded to students who have:
- a) Completed a Bachelor’s degree from a recognised institution and have obtained at least the equivalent of a 2:2 classification or
b) Completed a Pre-Master’s degree, or a qualification equivalent to a UK Master’s degree, with a comparable classification as determined by the University

Students joining a Pre-Master’s programme will be entitled to receive the scholarship when they move onto their main programme.
