The Seeley International Scholarship has been established to support students enrolled in a Bachelor of Engineering degree who have a demonstrated interest in Heating, Ventilation and Airconditioning (HVAC) technology.

The scholarship has been established through the generous support of Mr Frank Seeley AM, Executive Chairman and Founder of Seeley International. Seeley International was founded in 1972 when it began manufacturing portable evaporative coolers. It has since grown to a business which employs more than 300 people.  The company has launched many innovative and world first products and remains at the forefront of the HVAC industry.

Benefits

There will be one scholarship of $5,000 awarded each year. Payment will be made in two instalments after the census date of each semester.

Previous recipients cannot re-apply.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants for the scholarship must:

  • be an Australian citizen, permanent resident or permanent humanitarian visa holder; and
  • normally be enrolled full-time at Flinders University; and
  • be undertaking a Bachelor of Engineering degree; and
  • have completed at least 36 units of study towards that degree; and
  • be able to demonstrate an interest in the study and/or manufacture of HVAC products.

Selection Criteria

The scholarship will be awarded based on academic merit. Academic merit will be determined by the most recent 36 units of study in the relevant Engineering Degree.

Scholarship selection will be made in accordance with approved University procedures.
