BU Music Scholarships are open to any applicant for a full-time undergraduate or postgraduate course at Bournemouth University who can demonstrate they are a talented musician or vocalist with involvement in ensemble activity. Scholars receive free music lessons and other benefits in kind, such as examination fees and assistance with buying music, amounting to approximately £600 per year. Scholarships are awarded for the first year of study and may continue for subsequent years, provided the recipient continues to meet the criteria.

As part of your application, you will need to source two references. Referees can include your Director of Music, music teacher, instrumental/vocal coach, ensemble conductor etc, or any other person qualified to write about your musical abilities. They need to complete and submit the online reference form.
